This 'WILLY' space shuttle patch arrived at the Southern Colorado Space Museum yesterday. Any ideas as to it's origin?

It is a USAF pilot training class patch.

"Willy" is Williams Air Force Base, since closed and now called "Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport." The numbers on the patch are the class number... fiscal year - dash - class sequence number.

So, 82-05 was in fiscal 1982 and this patch was for the 5th class that year.
