Can anyone please tell me how long ago A-B Emblem sold this patch for Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair? It popped up on A-B's "Lost in Space" page today. Thank you.
Estée Lauder flew 10 bottles of its "Advanced Night Repair" serum to the ISS on NG-14. It is part of a new NASA program that dedicates 5% of space station cargo capacity and crew time to commercial marketing activities.

The SKU patch design number 428866 which is a February 2021 number. So probably was for sale sometime in spring 2021?

I do not believe this patch was offered for sale before now. It was originally produced for Estee Lauder (maybe as a prototype, as I did not see patches being distributed at the time of the flight).

A-B Emblem likely listed whatever patches they had left over to clear their stock.

I can only imagine this sewn on any manner of NASA jacket and the reactions from anyone seeing it.

It has been bought to my attention that the details on the embedded label from one of the Estee Lauder patches which were being sold on Friday, June 23rd by AB Emblem has the following details on it;
  • 428866 A-B Emblem Made In USA 06/2320 (June 2023 Weaverville)
This could mean either this patch is from;
Option One; a second production run batch made this month (now highly unlikely).

Option Two; the remaining patch(es) didn't have embedded labels on them from the original first production run (left overs), so had June 2023 labels applied to those remaining patch(es) before being put up for sale again on 23rd June 2023.

The original patch production run was probably made sometime in 2020 or even 2021 and were not labeled at that time.

I have now received a back image photo from MajTom7 and it shows the label stuck to the back of the patch without a plastic coating over the label, (Option two above).

Dose anyone have an example of the Estee Lauder patch from the first batch sold on 21st March with an embedded label on?
