Sorting out my collection this weekend I found a 3" patch with this design and can't find any background information on it.Souvenir size, so I assume a retail product of some kind, but I'm puzzled by the reference since a web search doesn't seem to pull up anything related to the space program. A seller on eBay who is offering this patch claimed to be selling AB Emblem sales rep examples in the past, but I don't know if this was part of that group or not. The listing (362147807308) was the only thing I could turn up related to this patch, though. |

Google Translate renders it as "eternal life" (in Hawaiian). I don't know, but I suspect, this is to commemorate the life of Ellison Onizuka, who as we know was from Hawaii. |

Ah, that make sense regarding Onizuka! The batch of patches these were mixed in with did all seem to be from the 80s.No recall on who issued these?
