The Scout Association (Scouts) in the United Kingdom produced three patches in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission. On 21 July 1969, two Scouts, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, took their first steps on the surface of the Moon.This commemorative badge set celebrates their remarkable achievement, as well as those who followed in their footsteps. In total, 11 of the 12 people who walked on the Moon, were Scouts. The patches are available as a three-piece Moon Badge Set (£4) on a commemorative card. The Scouts on the Moon Badge (£1.75) is also offered alone on its own commemorative card.The designs are also available as keychains and on t-shirts.
