I am looking for info and photos on the two SpaceX Dragon recovery barges, the American Islander and the American Spirit, to see if they have a ship's patch or logo.

I have emailed SpaceX's press room to see if they have the info, but they have not got back to me so far. I hope someone on collectSPACE who is on-site when they come into port can have a nose around to see if you can see one on the barges and get a photo of it for me. Thanks for helping me out.

Photographs of the American Islander can be seen here and here, via Spaceflight Now/LA Daily News.

The American Islander and American Spirit are owned and operated by American Marine Corporation. You might have more luck contacting them directly than SpaceX, which is their customer.

Do vessels in the SpaceX recovery fleet have ships' patches as the now retired Navy and NASA recovery ships did in the Apollo and shuttle day?

I have seen a few patches for the Falcon 9 first stage landing barges, but have not seen any patches for the vessels in the recovery fleet.

The vessels in the SpaceX recovery fleet are; Go Navigator, Go Searcher, Go Ms. Tree (ex Mr Steven), Go Ms. Chief, Go Quest, Of Course I still Love You (landing barge), NRC Quest and Just Read The Instructions (landing barge).

The ship down as the recovery vessel for the Demo-2 mission is Go Navigator.

I ask as the upcoming Crew Dragon Demo-2 flight is manned, I have to see to starting up my recovery ship patch collection again, as I have all the recovery ship patches from Mercury to the shuttle.

At this time just getting the plain ship's patch would help. We'll have to see if they come out with a commemorative mission landing patch as in the old Apollo day. I hope SpaceX does come out with one, but we'll see.
