I have started collecting space related patches and would like to know good reference books, websites, etc. to assist me in my collecting. Also, any suggestions on reputable vendors that sell the patches? I have been to the NASA gift shop sites and AB Emblems websites and have purchased a few there already. Have also been looking at eBay but unsure which ones are making the knockoff patches. |

There's only three websites you need for patch references: SkyForce Patches - Joe Fricano's store or Brett Anderson's The Space Store are both excellent and honest patch retailers. |

I would add SpaceBoosters from the UK to this list.

I think you also could have a look to Spacefacts.de to read more of the mission's stories. |

"Space patches" - From Mercury to the Space Shuttle, by Judith Kaplan and Robert Muniz is also a handy reference although published in 1986. |

I recently saw a small paperback book, approximately 7x5 in size. The book was a definitive shuttle crew patch reference. Each page featured a single coloured patch and details there of.Anybody able to tell me the likely book title? The chap did show me but in all the excitement I subsequently forget. I think he said he got it from the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Space Shop but I can't seem to find it. |

You might be thinking of "Human Space Flight Mission Patch Handbook." It covers Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and the Space Shuttle Program. It's full color and about the size you describe. My brother got me a copy at KSC, so I know it's sold there. |

You may also see here. It gives you more information on the book. What I have done is cut out small copies of the different versions of certain patches, Gemini 6 patch on the 6TA Gemini patch page for example. Also the Gemini 5 patch with the "5 Days or Bust" covered. |
