Ten years ago today, I registered with cS. I was thrilled to find a place on the internet where I could share my passion for space exploration with others. Like many of you, I "lurked" for awhile before signing up and posting. My first post announced my involvement with the Expedition 11 patch. That post led to receiving an email from a guy like me who dreamed of creating crew patches. Jorge Cartes (Kaptec) congratulated me on my accomplishment and shared his wish to do the same. I responded that if the opportunity ever arose to work with another crew, I would collaborate with him. A few years later we designed the STS-126 patch, then 127, Expedition 22, 23 and so on. Through cS I also met other accomplished patch artists: Luc, Erik and Jacques of spacepatches.nl Blake Dumesnil, Nathan Moeller and Mike Okuda. Not to mention the hundreds of my fellow members I've met at KSC events over the last decade. None of this would have happened without Robert creating this site for all of us. Thank you Robert and thank all of you cS community for allowing me to be one of you, for giving my artistic muse it's "voice" and for your support when I had my heart attack. I can't wait to see what happens over the next ten years... |

Tim, very glad to have you as part of the collectSPACE community for the past decade. Even more so, to have gained your friendship during those years. Congratulations on everything you've accomplished over the past 10 years. Here's to many, many more! |

Brother Tim... you are an amazing talent and I am proud to know you. You know how insanely envious I am of your experiences designing this artwork. I pray for your lovely wife and yourself. I do hope I get the chance to collaborate one day with you buddy. Until then... keep soarin. |
