Expedition 61 flight engineer Drew Morgan has debuted a new patch for the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS-02) from aboard the International Space Station.

Morgan and Expedition 61 commander Luca Parmitano have been conducting a series of spacewalks to repair the comic ray detector. Their fourth and final extravehicular activity (EVA) to wrap up their work replacing the AMS's coolant pumps is on Saturday (Jan. 25).

The patch shows a wrench being applied to the AMS and its original insignia. The new patch reads "AMS-02.1," playing off the device's designation and upgrade.
