There is a 'tongue-in-cheek' comment in the USS Yorktown report on the Apollo 8 recovery on page 53 that reads -
The CTF-130 emblem shows a helicopter, an HC-130, a destroyer and a carrier, but no E-1B. Recommendation - that the E-1B's significant role be recognised by including a 'Fudd' silhouette in the CTF-130 emblem.
Was this done? And is someone able to post a picture of both the original emblem and the modified one?
