Does anyone know where I can find the descriptions of the Expeditions 39 to 52 patches' designs? One of my favorite aspects of patch collecting, other than the patches themselves, is understanding the meanings behind each of the patch designs – the kind of information usually found in a description of the patch. In the past a description was within the NASA press kits; but now I can not found the press kits within the NASA's Internet documentation. |

Typically I've found the descriptions for the meaning behind the patch designs on Wikipedia. If you navigate to the article for the corresponding mission, the text can be found by clicking the image of the patch on the right side of the page. Once on the patch image's page, the description is usually on the bottom or can be found by clicking "More Details" in the lower right. An example of the Wikipedia image page for Expedition 50 The text of these descriptions could typically found alongside the NASA Spaceflight Gallery image for the crew patch. The last one I was able to locate on NASA's website is for ISS Expedition 43, here. Since NASA has transitioned to hosting their images on Flickr, the later mission descriptions might be found there as well. If anyone knows of a location where the descriptions are organized together, I'd also be interested in that. |

ISS patch logo-emblem descriptions are on the back of their designated decal stickers, of which, my firm has most of them available up to ISS/Expedition 56. | |
