SpaceX Commercial Resupply Services-2 patch

SpaceX's third unmanned Dragon capsule to fly to the International Space Station (ISS) — the second of 12 under NASA's Commercial Resupply Services contract — will deliver about 1,200 pounds (544 kg) of supplies for the Expedition 34 crew and experiments to be conducted aboard the orbiting laboratory.

Launch of the CRS-2 (SpX-2) mission is scheduled from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

SpaceX's 2nd space station resupply flight gets two mission patches

The second of NASA's contracted cargo flights to resupply the International Space Station (ISS) is set to launch later this week and like most spaceflights, it has its own mission patch.

Does this mean the manned flights will have two patches as well?

The one above comes from a lucky guy working within the Dutch space sector. His boss gave him the patch that was presented to him while in contact with SpaceX, so this definitely is an original.

Very cool indeed. I think it's safe to say that's a rare patch!

Received patch SPX-2 today. It has a date code of: 04/23 01 MADE IN CHINA.

This patch is 4 inch diameter and very nicely made. It varies a little from a version I picked up a few years ago. The ISS is larger, the Sun's outer white thread has a bold border, and where the right solar array is attached to Dragon the thread is gray with a black border. The overall stitching is better quality.

All times are CT (US)
