This is currently planned to be our second-to-final space shuttle emblem. It's our officially unofficial companion emblem for the Discovery Chase Team. Our design for Atlantis is finished but we've submitted it to KSC to see if they're interested in it at all. We'll be marketing it, regardless.

It would be great to see Lady Liberty in the skyline silhouette seeing how see in the probably the most notable figure of NYC.

Updated emblem with the Statue of Liberty. Change reflected in the above images.

I'll be sending this in for a sample patch soon so anyone interested in having the emblem should let me know soon. Thanks!

I think I liked it better without the statue. I understand the spirit of having the statue included but the way its depicted, it draws attention away from the Intrepid and even somewhat detracts from the orbiter.

It looks like we have a real toss-up here. I've had equal complaints about having the statue/not having it. I hesitated doing this emblem at all because of the constant bumbling of the Intrepid Museum with their display plans. That hesitation is being validated now.

I agree with Robert here, I also think it looked better without Lady Liberty. Makes it look a bit crowded. Otherwise, great looking patch.

Put me on the list for two Nathan!

Those in favor of keeping it the way it was are outweighing those in favor of having the statue. You guys win. No statue!

Sigh... Somewhere up there Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi (designer of the statue) is weeping. But I'll wear a statue pin next to it anyway.

Here's an image of the embroidered design. We'll be placing an order at the end of this month so anyone interested who hasn't spoken with me already should do so before that time. Thanks!

Received mine in the mail today Nathan. As always great job!! This is a beautiful patch with Enterprise descending towards the Intrepid that is floating on the NYC skyline reflection. Excellent symbolism!!

As I have reported elsewhere, my patch arrived in Scotland today. I wanted to additionally add my plaudits here as I feel that Nathan should receive as wide a publicity as he deserves. What an incredible space record these patches are proving to be! Keep up the good work, Nathan.

Received both my patch and matching blue t-shirt recently. Ready to attend the 'Welcome Discovery Day' at Dulles later this month and Enterprise's arrival in NYC later!

I am real looking forward to receiving this patch together with the two other ones!

The Intrepid Museum has a real fine logo for the Enterprise, but this patch would have been a better one, because of the more detailed artwork and the skyline of NY! - They should sell Nathan's patch in the museum store...

Nathan... great design!

I notice that 1977, 1985 and 2012 are included in the patch referencing Space Shuttle Enterprise's flights.

Any reason why 1983 wasn't included for her trip to the Paris Air show? Thanks.

The dates 1977 thru 1985 represent the beginning and end years of her lifetime with NASA. Delivery to EAFB and delivery to Smithsonian.

All times are CT (US)
