ISS Expedition 45 mission patch

The International Space Station's (ISS) Expedition 45 begins with the scheduled undocking of Soyuz TMA-16M in October 2015. New crew members will arrive shortly thereafter on Soyuz TMA-17M.

ISS Expedition 45 will be commanded by NASA astronaut Scott Kelly. His crewmates, all flight engineers, include: Roscosmos cosmonauts Mikhail Korniyenko, Oleg Kononenko and Sergey Volkov, NASA astronaut Kjell Lindgren and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Kimiya Yui.

The Expedition 45 patch was designed by Kjell Lindgren working with artist Blake Dumesnil.

The Expedition 45 patch is now available for order from AB Emblem.

A first glimpse at the simplified shirt art of the ISS Expedition 45 insignia was seen on July 10, 2014 in Johnson Space Center training photography.

Here is a better picture from my personal files.

Another winner from Blake. I've said it here before, but I love the "look" of his designs. They're a bold departure from convention, yet not overdone or excessively showy.

I sincerely appreciate the kind words and am always glad to hear feedback from the collecting community! It was such a pleasure collaborating with Kjell Lindgren on this one!

Thanks for recognizing the elegant simplicity that we were aiming for!
