The graphic seems to celebrate the Mercury program above all else. I would have liked to include the other programs and our continued presence in orbit with the ISS.
I know that might get cluttered so maybe the focus should be on the 50-year timeframe and not the hardware. Or perhaps the focus could somehow represent the hundreds of thousands of people behind these years in orbit.
Finally if the 7 stars on each side are supposed to represent lost Shuttle crews, where is the tribute to other lost crews?
I don't want to be negative but with the resources DNC has at its disposal I think they could have done better. Just my opinion.

The shape and style look like a "ripoff" of Tim Gagnon's NASA 50th anniversary patch that he designed and produced in 2010.

Did they ever make a patch from that or was it only used as a logo for the celebration?
