There's a few Gemini crew patches on eBay right now that I believe to be replicas but several of them are picking up bids that imply people think they're the real thing. Does anyone know who made these? I'm thinking either Randy Hunt or Cargo Bay Emblems.

If anyone has examples of these patches I'd love to add them to the Crew Patches site to help avoid people overpaying for replicas. A 100dpi front/back scan would be perfect.

They were done by Eagle One Aerospace around 1988-1989 if I remember right.

You are right eagle one patches, very good remakes, I have the complete set, and also the funny Gemini 7 and 12.

Around the same time they did the Gemini they also did the Mercury art in black 4 inch patches that are really nice I think. They used to have some good stuff come out of Eagle One.

I have always thought Cooper's bulging-star "Faith 7" design would look fantastic as a 4-inch patch in plain B&W.

Cargo Bay Emblems was a website operated by Mary Wagner, Randy's widow, where she sold the rest of his inventory. Randy was Eagle One Aerospace.

They (I think it was CBE) also produced a very nice four-inch Mercury set that included an MR-5 "Banana 7" patch and an MA-10 "Delta 7" patch for Slayton. The images are colorful and the patches are high quality. They are great eye candy. When I get out my Mercury patch binder I always enjoy looking at them. I acquired them in the mid-90s.

Those were made by Randy Hunt, aka 4gator. With all due respect to Gilbert, Randy Wagner would never have gone for the "Banana" patch...
