Posting for a friend looking for additional information on a 1964 World's Fair NASA "U.S. Space Park" patch.

The exhibit was discussed earlier on this thread, among other websites.

Curious if anyone knows whether these patches were souvenirs or NASA-only? Rarity and/or value? Thanks!

Highly unlikely that is a NASA patch.

Imagery is somehow more reminiscent of "America's Space Age World's Fair" in Seattle ~ 1962.

This is a nice souvenir patch from the Space Park at the 64/65 NYWF. With more than 51 million visitors, it seems likely these would have been ordered in the thousands? But of course, how many survive? Of more interest to a NYWF collector for sure. First I've ever seen.

You are correct about the 64 NYWF. A person that runs a museum about the 64 NYWF was thrilled that someone found this patch and, as a reader of cS, could not believe this patch showed up in this forum. He stated he had only seen one of these patches in a museum and had been searching a long time for one.

All four have new homes!

All times are CT (US)
