A little bit of weird question perhaps... but let me ask you; back in October 2010, I wrote Brian Duffy (STS-92). I asked him to sign me some photos, which he did.Beautiful pictures and a very very nice and warm person. I also asked him for a way to get a flown shuttle patch. He added a STS-92 patch to my letter. What I'd like to know... do you have had mail from Brian Duffy with a patch of STS-92 added to it? And... what can be said about flown or not? Of course I know Brian Duffy is the only one to tell, but let me ask you... |

It is as likely to be flown as many of the other objects out there touting the same description. |

Little point in asking us really, as there's no way to discern a flown patch from an unflown one if both are of the same manufacture.Best advice: Write Duffy back and politely inquire if the patch he included was flown (though I can't imagine an astronaut sending a flown patch without at least noting it as such in a letter or by other means). |

Agreed. That is the only way you will know. Send him a self-addressed, stamped postcard with your letter and ask him circle FLOWN or UNFLOWN. | |
