Hello. New to the desire to collect shuttle mission patches and I see that the Space Store has the entire group as a collection for sale. Does anyone know the maker of these patches and are they authentic or just souveniers? If not a good place to go, any suggestions. Thank you for all replies. Michael

Yes the Space Store sells AB authentic aptches.

But, if you buy numerous patches at once, www.galacticvoyager.com is cheaper.

I have just received some 60 STS patches that were missing from my collection. I ordered them from Galactic Voyager. A good deal, around $ 1.50 cheaper than from most other sources. But beware: its seems the producer of the 'official' patches, AB Emblem, is changing to new machines. If you look closely at recent patches, the quality is better, more precise stitching. However, they seem to be producing old designs on the new machines... the STS 31 that I received looks boring and isn't even 100% embroidered. I can hardly believe AB is turning these out. But I think this one slipped into my order; I had good communication with Galactic Voyager about wanting only 'originals' and they seem to understand the wishes of serious collectors.
