Does anyone have an info on who produced this Apollo Command/Service desk model? It does have a “Made in Canada” on the bottom. It’s very heavy and looks to be made of metal and/or resin. Thanks. |

Given the Canadian origin and some of the details, my first guess would be Nick Proach. You might try contacting him and inquiring. |

The build looks a lot like this old listing, though the one on eBay recently has metal handles added to the CM. |

The old eBay listing is from Toys and Models, now sold to another company. 1/48 scale. Can you give us a feel for scale of your model? If it is 1/32 scale it would be an existing wood model that was produced in the Philippines (with an original gold colored CM) and repainted/modified to the correct configuration. I have seen Nick do this from time to time. I agree with Robert that with the "Made In Canada" label it would point to Nick. Update: on further review this does not appear to be a modified Philippines model as the RCS and CM hatch is not the same. I really believe this is a Nick Proach model. |

I took a closer look at areas that are not painted, it appears to be made of resin. I took a photo of it with my 1/32 scale Apollo command and service module model and it's definitely smaller.  |

Well, that is interesting. I thought I knew about all of the CSM models out there. Could you post a photo of the Made in Canada markings and a photo of the back end of the model. Does it have a high gain antenna? |

The high gain antenna is missing, as well as the docking probe. The umbilical was with the model when I purchased it, but fell off and was lost during shipping. One of the control thrusters is missing two nozzles. I bought this because I had not seen one before, for Apollo 8, which is the biggest part of my collection. I knew it wasn’t perfect, I hope it’s at least vintage, looks to be.
