I have this on order and I'll be making corrections when it arrives.

Aside from the cockpit which looks strange, what other corrections are you planning to make?

Yeah, the canopy looks odd. I'll know more when I eventually get it in my hand (hope it doesn't get stuck in the Christmas mail). As a minimum the aft experiment package is incorrectly shaped and the lower ventral fin needs to be removed. Possibly the under wing insignia need to be removed, APU exhausts fitted and the bright silver nose toned down.

1/67th scale? Who thought that up?

Someone that can't measure? Wish I'd read the Mule's ad before pulling the trigger (I ordered elsewhere). 1/72 is good, 1/67, not so.

The Flying Mule updated its listing since this post was created; it originally read 1:72. A quick search shows other retailers listing 1:72 scale, too.

The Flying Mule. The product page still says:

Please note: Although the box for this model identifies it as 1:72 scale, the actual model dimensions are larger and much closer to 1:67 scale.

I ordered one and it arrived today. I am impressed with the quality of the resin model. It is a very solid model, with a stand that has a rotating head, and looks great displayed. I would recommend.

The X-15A is 1,545 centimers long; the model is about 23 centimers. Divide the two and you get a scale of 1:67.

All times are CT (US)
