Does anyone have any sketches, photos or actual models of the spaceship Tsien from the book "2010: Odyssey Two," which beats the Leonov to Jupiter and then lands on Europa before meeting its demise?
It's a fascinating part of the Odyssey Two book and leaves the imagination open to what the Tsien spaceship would have looked like. It didn't make it to the 1986 film so an opportunity to see it on the big screen was lost.
One day it would be great to model of this unique spaceship. Be interested to know if anyone has any other info or ideas. Thanks.

Once again Arthur Clarke was ahead of everyone else by predicting the Chinese would become a major player in space. I wish someone would remake 2010, as it wasn't a patch on the book

Yes it would be great if they remade the film - and kept to the original script which includes the Chinese Europa Landing.
It would be a perfect fit with the current focus on an ESA mission to Europa being planned and the recent advances made by the Chinese Space Programme.
Be great if they made films out of the last two books in the series as well.

Imagine if they found a monolith. Maybe it's in the hole in Siberia.

The 2013 film "The Europa Report" was very similar to the story of the Tsien.
