I took a Topping X-15 and "corrected" it. The chines from the end of the wing to the tail tapered in too much so I fixed that, I removed the camera covers on the cockpit and sanded down the chines to the correct shape so they don't blend in like the Topping but are accurate like the NAA model. I printed out my 2d decals on vinyl and they went on pretty good, they look great because of the fine detail. I also put the steel wind tunnel model on a NAA style base. I have the NAA 3D logo in two sizes. I listed it on ebay and when the Topping model is done, I'll list that as well, it's a "prototype" I wanted to see how well the 2d vinyl decals worked. they lift in some areas, but hey, they are easily replaceable and the vinyl decals are really really durable. |
