I am working on an LED project for a model I am planning to build. I have seen different videos on YouTube and still need assistance.
Everything will be powered by a 9 volt battery. I want to make a pulse-fade led and need to find a 2N222A transistor. Any sources?
Also I have a question about capacitors. I have a 1000 microfahren capacitor. Does the voltage of it matter for my project? Any help in layman's terms will be appreciated.
Please no electrical diagrams as I will just get more confused. Thanks very much. — Jim Sigler, manilajim@aol.com

Jim, for what you are probably trying to build:
The capacitor voltage doesn't matter, as long as it is at least as big as the circuit voltage.
A 2N2222 is a pretty generic NPN transistor. They cost a few cents each, and there are probably a bunch of similar versions that would work just fine. If you want do email me a schematic, I can throw a couple of 2Nxxxx in the mail to you.
