Heller has released a 1:125 model kit of the European Space Agency's first Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) "Jules Verne" that also includes the Ariane 5 and space station (link leads to moduni.com, via the Space Modelers Yahoo Group). I'm not much a model builder, so I was happy to receive from ESA an ATV keychain (pictured below) at the STS-122 launch last month. Jules Verne's two laser-guiding docking lights glow red when a button is pressed on the back on the keychain. |

Anyone know if a U.S. distributor might be stocking this kit? As for the keychain, can the solar arrays unfurl? How big is it?Man, I need to find one of these keychains now. |

The solar arrays stay folded on the keychain (probably for the better, as they might hurt, if not break, were they to unfurl in one's pocket). As for its size, the ATV measures about 2 inches long and an inch wide. |

Does anyone have any reviews of the Heller 1/125 "Jules Vernes" ATV? Size, complexity, value, is it worth it? |

Lots of pictures can be found on this French website, at least the first ones that show up — later it's a custom-made ATV. |

Thanks. I wish there was more input before I go out and buy it. Is it well made? Worth the price? |

Would you like me to ask for you on the French forum? |
