That is gorgeous, but WOW! $3500 bucks! I am about to start my 1/144 Revell kit. It will be awhile before I finish it, but with the cost of the model and the supplies (most of which I have) it will be about $100 bucks, much more in my price range  |

I just purchased the Revell kit too. I also have the Heller station model waiting for me to build. |

One of the last contracts I bid on was twenty 1/100 ISS models for NASA. If I recall correctly, the company that won the contract built architectural models and the ISS models they delivered were fairly plain. You can see a pic of the model, which is available from Marshall Flight Center for exhibit display. I wonder if Dragon will do the ISS on 1/72? I was thinking about doing a 1/72 Saturn V, good thing I didn't. I built a 1/25th ISS for NASA HQ that went on display at the National Air and Space Museum, D.C. for a while. It was in the pre-Columbia configuration. I had to create the entire CAD model using data and info from Boeing and NASA. That took six times longer to do than the model itself which was mainly CNC and stl. parts. Here's a few pics.

I forgot too say, ths MM ISS looks fanyastic much better than the plain ones NASA bought for the same price. $3,500 is a deal. |
