These three photos show professional space model builders from the Lockheed Missiles & Space Company in Sunnyvale, California. The two guys pictured, John Gray and painter Frank Brophy, are seen working on an Agena, Polaris and even some ground launch support equipment. I'm amazed at the extreme detail the guys are putting into their work at the old Lockheed model shot in 1961! I wonder if both men are still around these days and could you imagine what their model collections might be like, if of course, they had collected and were permitted to keep some of the Lockheed and other space models.
