A coworker sent me a request to vote for a friend's child who had entered a K'NEX building set contest, having built a Saturn V that's around seven feet tall.

Looking at the entries, I was pleased to see there were space-related entries in each category. (And, of course, voted in the other divisions for kids who had built them, to encourage space interest in today's youth.)

Some of them were rather impressive.

I voted for the Saturn-V's but as much as I want to support kids' interest in space I had to vote for the rollercoaster in the 8-10 age range. That thing is AWESOME!

Be sure and note that the "SuperSpaceStation" entry is actually a model of Skylab. I was talking to a coworker, and from the cropped image, she thought it was a windmill.

Sure, I'm biased, but any kid that age that even knows what Skylab is will get my vote.
