Just came across this. A company called AstroReality Tech are raising funds through Indiegogo to produce accurate lunar globes that integrate with a smart phone app. Looks interesting and educational. I've committed to a couple.
The AstroReality LUNAR Model is a 1:28,969,000 scale high definition 3D printed and hand crafted model of the Moon that you can hold in your hands. Using the most accurate industrial 3D printing technology available today, LUNAR is modeled to 0.006 millimeters per pixel precision, based on data captured by NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter. With its Augmented Reality app - AstroReality, it weaves together an unparalleled way to experience the Moon, in your hands, and through your smartphone.

We check out Astroreality's Lunar Pro, a detailed model of the moon that works with a companion app to show some extra details through augmented reality. While the model itself is nicely made and finished, the software experience leaves much to be desired. It's a neat concept that disappoints with its execution.
