I am creating a poster for Luna Replicas of the dash panel of the Lunar Rover, likely Apollo 15.

Can anyone tell me what color the face of the panel was? I've seen two examples; one was black and the other was kind of tan or beige. Thanks!

AS15-82-11200, AS16-117-18818, and, AS17-146-22296 for Apollo 15, 16 and 17 respectively show what appear to me to be black panels for the rovers that flew.

Perhaps the gold/tan was used only on development vehicles.

The Apollo 15 LRV panel is black in all the photos I have during final checkout at KSC in 1971. I believe the flight unit had a tan cover over the panel during shipment to KSC.

All times are CT (US)
