The classic blue anodized Air-Lock manufactured electrical connector housings used on the Apollo A7L suit and CWG electrical harness are identified as ASSY 9046 (the female side) and ASSY 9125 (the male). These housings carried 61 pin connectors and were used in many locations beyond suits, including the CM/LM power umbilical, the CM docking probe, and some camera power/transmission cables.

However, there also exist similar housings identified as ASSY 9433 (female) and ASSY 9434 (male) which are identical in barrel length but significantly smaller in diameter. The width of the male side is around 3/4" in this pairing as opposed to just over 1" in the ASSY 9125 version. These would not have been able to contain the standard 61 pin connectors.

I'm wondering if anyone knows where these narrower electrical connectors may have been used. The serial numbers I've seen seem to indicate they were manufactured in significant numbers so they're unlikely to be simply prototypes.

All times are CT (US)
