For some time now I've thought about putting out a new space artifact collectible, in part because it was something I always thought I'd enjoy doing, but also to try to improve on some of the other artifact display pieces already in the marketplace (thinking primarily of the lucites, which always frustrated me because they prevent any direct contact with the artifact). So I set out with three main objectives for my new displays: - to use ample-sized artifacts,
- to support them with impeccable provenance,
- to make them, in terms of tactility, fully accessible
With these goals met and the first few presentation pieces nearing completion, I'm happy to be able to introduce the first "Space Legacies" collectibles, with this initial series showcasing Earth map sections flown to the moon aboard Apollo 10.As shown, these are 6" x 4" pedestal-design glass displays, each featuring a unique map section affixed to a durable plasticized backing that can be easily removed from its frame. I'll be offering these as a strictly limited edition of only 50 such pieces. Each will come handsomely boxed, along with my (double-sided) signed COA that thoroughly documents the history and authenticity of the map sections. As mentioned, the first of these new collectibles are just about ready, so if interested please check the 'Buy, Sell, Trade' listings in the next couple of days where I'll be posting more info and background on them, along with details on availability and pricing. Of course I'm happy to answer any questions about them, and thanks for taking a look. |
