I wanted to share a recent addition to my collection: the Communications Carrier Assembly (Snoopy cap) hardware worn by Gene Cernan on Apollo 17.

It took a lot of research to go from raw artifact find to the discovery and documentation of its historic heritage. I had to pinch myself when I found out its history!

The photo shows the headset as well as X-ray images of each earphone, telling more of its story. More details on the web page.
