I would like to ask your opinion, I was doing some research on some of the space shuttle's components and directly contacting the companies the manufacture specific components.

I recently wrote to Johns Manville to obtain a sample of the Q-Fiber used between the tiles and skin of the shuttle. When my sample arrived, it came in a two pound box and was shredded (not in a sheet form).

I'm going to write back to them for additional confirmation/documentation that it is indeed Q-Fiber. What do I do with the two pounds of fiber? Thanks.

Dispose of it/keep it out of your home (if you value your lungs): the micro-thin fibers contain similar risks to that of inhaling asbestos.

All times are CT (US)
