I wonder if any one could provide me with accurate dimensions of the Apollo block 2 hatch dimensions for a project I'm working on.

Wrongly I assumed that I would find them easily in my documentation such as operating manuals but have found contradictory figures and drawings which show differing corner curvatures.

I would be very grateful for any help, many thanks.

The only hatch dimensions I can find are 29" high x 34" wide.

Would a first hand inspection of the Apollo 10 Command Module in the London Science museum not be useful in establishing corner curvatures?

Thank you Tykeanaut, they were the two dimensions I found but didn't sit well with my estimates using other features for which I do have measurements.

You are absolutely right Rick and as coincidence would have it, I have just found out the Science Museum is opening the hatch cover this Friday allowing close access to the public, so there I hope is my answer.

I was up there a month ago but since it moved to the "Welcome Wing" of the museum its not possible to get close to it. Thank you for the help.

When you have the measures in the hatch can you let me have? (I went to London but could not get closer.) Thanks!

All times are CT (US)
