I got this from an auction and the seller "thought" it was from his father who worked on the space program.

It "looks" like some kind of lamp. Maybe some kind of location beacon? It also maybe nothing, but I thought I would see what you all think!

Looks like a Xenon strobe...any idea if this originates from a former Hughes Aircraft employee? A strobe of this type was considered for the Optical Tracker to be installed on the LM. Possibly also intended for application within the Service Module Rendezvous beacon.

...based on production date, if it is Apollo more likely to be for the Rendezvous beacon.
