This helmet was found in Berlin 25 years ago. "(missing letter)RÄGER" is printed on the front.

Thank you for your help.

It looks rather as a pilot helmet for High-altitude flights ... or pressure chamber tests ... Not an early NASA STS helmet

"RÄGER" could be the scratched away logo of the german company DRÄGER. They have a long history in producing masks, helmets, safetysystems for breathing and professional protectiongear for critical chemical liquids an gases.

I would say this is definitly no NASA helmet.

Agreed. Definitely not NASA origin.

Thank you Foxtrottoscar, "Dräger" is the brand of the helmet. I could recognize the shape of the logo on an old diving gear. The link with NASA could exist since these two organizations seems to have worked together in the past.

That helmet is very similar to the old SCAPE suit helmets. SCAPE (Self-Contained Atmospheric Protective Ensembly) suits, which were worn to protect against exposure to hypergols during pad ops and at test facilities, were phased out in the early 1980s and replaced by suits from ILC Dover.
