My earliest memory of the space program was staring up at Bean's lunar suit, then in a glass display case on the first floor of the Children's Museum (now the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History), where I attended Museum School. It was 1970-1971 and I was 3 years old. I did not get to meet him until almost 30 years later, but when I did I mentioned I was from Fort Worth. As you all know he is very friendly and he leaned back, a large smile appeared on his face and he said, "Hometown Boy!". I got a kick out of that. I wonder if he is related to the old-west-hangin'-judge Roy Bean?
