Hmm, guess it could be from there? Although most videogame arcade tokens were about the size of a US 25-cent piece and this token is smaller. Here's a standard size game token for comparison.
The coin mechanisms were usually set to a specific size so people could use quarters or tokens. Also, it took a certain amount of weight to drop properly down through the coin slot mechanism.

That website is not conclusive. It does show some game coins from a mall arcade in Virginia but not the Spaceport token. Also notice that most all videogame tokens have "No Cash Value" or "Non-Refundable" written somewhere on them. Still not convinced that this came from that mall in Pennsylvania.

Here's an eBay auction that says: "I have a NASA Spaceport Space Money "Space Board Game Money" Commemorative Medal - Coin".
Space Port was a chain of arcades across America usually located within shopping malls. Along the lines of Time-Out, it was a staple of any eighties kid's world. As the name suggests, the branding was very space age!
