Winco International is producing a new series of official NASA medallions in celebration of the 50th anniversaries of the Apollo missions. Each medallion is minted with flown-to-the-moon Apollo command module metal and materials used in the engineering of the Mars Curiosity rover.The Apollo 11 and Apollo 13 medallions were previously issued with their own mission-specific packaging. Beginning with the Apollo Program medallion (pictured below), the future issues will share a common backing card.

So the obverse is different for those that collect all coins. Be adding to collection. |

There are now Apollo 15 and Apollo 16 50th anniversary medals available, at least on eBay. |

There now appears to be three new 50th medals: Apollo 17, Apollo 12 and a limited edition Apollo 15. |

Here is a look at the medallions released to date. A blank space is left open for Apollo 14, which is in production now. (Update: graphic updated with Apollo 14, as of April 2022.) The last medallion pictured is the common reverse for the entire set.  |

Not yet; there was a production issue resulting in a delay to its release, but the Apollo 14 medallion is still coming. |

Apollo 14 is now shipping, so the eight mission set is now available (Apollo 11 through Apollo 17, plus Apollo Program). |
