The employee exchange store at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida has produced a challenge coin for the Artemis I mission.

It should soon to be available for sale on the exchange's website.

The exchange also has an Artemis program medallion in three colors: red, white and blue (red and white are currently sold out, but more are coming).

These are collector coins. Actual "challenge" coins are presented by whoever is in charge of what the coin is for, never sold by the person/organization who created them.

I agree, though there are exceptions. The U.S. Navy Orion recovery force created challenge coins for their team members and then sold their extras to the public (for example).

The use of "challenge coin" here was only in reference to what the exchange store had labeled the medallions when offering them for sale.

All times are CT (US)
