In a recent trade I got an STS-61 'medal' as part of a deal. I wasn't wanting it particularly but I am curious as I've never seen one like it for any mission before. I think it is a commemorative as I don't see it (or anything like it) among the official NASA medal listings.

It looks like the normal NASA gift store medallion front and back but is presented as a medal on a red white and blue ribbon. It was clearly manufactured that way - anyone got any ideas about this?
