NASA art for a commemorative medal showing "the key components of John Glenn's legacy."

The medallion is part of NASA Glenn Research Center's 50 Years of Americans in Orbit event to be held March 2, 2012 at Cleveland State University.

The coin was given to all the NASA Glenn tweetup participants for free. I got mine that way. Very nice!

I was media at this event and was unable to get one. I have been trying to get one through NASA, but so far no luck. They gave one out to everyone that won in their lottery to attend the event. I saw people looking at them, but I wasn't close enough to get a good look.

On as side note, it was a fantastic event and if you are interested, in my "Special Events" gallery on my website are my photos from that special day!
