I have often wondered why NASA or someone hasn't minted commerative medallions for launch pads #5, #19, and #34 that contain material from the pads,since medallions have been minted for pads #14, and #39 (LUT)? I would be willing to donate scrap metal from the three above respective pads for such a project to anyone that has the means and budget to do so with the only stipulation that I receive one medallion from each each pad. If enough medallions could be minted perhaps a portion of the proceeds could be donated to NASA or the Air Force to defray the cost of restoration to Mercury Control Center. Anyone interested?
