Dennis Dillman and Vice President, John Macco received Napex Silver awards for their exhibits on Project Mercury and ASTP. Various topics were discussed among them the search for an Astrophile Editor. our guest speaker, Rear Admiral Carl Seiberlich who was Commanding officer of the Prime Apollo-11 & 12 Recovery ship USS Hornet (CVS-12). He told various stories of his naval career as well as his participation in the recoveries of Apollo-11 & 12. A very interesting participant in the U.S. space program. Next Space Unit meeting will be at Balpex labor day weekend.
