T O P I C R E V I E WHenk BoshuijerI was wondering if there are space places in Japan (like museums or exhibits) that the public can visit? Are there people who have visited interesting space exhibits?BenA stop at Tanegashima would probably be worthwhile. If not, there are JAXA facilities all over that appear to be open to the public.Henk BoshuijerI visited one of the JAXA offices. Not Takegashima unfortunately, but the JAXA office in the Maronouchi-area in Tokyo. They have a very small visitor center there where you can see models, get your picture taken in a spacesuit and some real H1 rocket engines. I have to say the people there are very friendly (as almost all Japanese are) and they actually handed very expensive scale models to my four year old son so that I could take pictures. So actually there is not that much to see but still it is worth a visit. The spacesuit looks very real and is an impressive sight. mf451Has anyone visited Tsukuba Space Center? I have some spare time during an upcoming trip to Tokyo and thought it might be a nice stop. Any suggestions or pointers? Any other space sights to check out in Tokyo? Thanks in advance.
