T O P I C R E V I E WbengutteryI've driven Interstate 45 between Dallas and Houston numerous times and noticed this stuff by the roadside in Corsicana (south of the Home Depot) and finally stopped there this week on the way back from Houston. This is also south of County Road 25 at 32 deg 03' 41.97" N 96 deg 27' 05.74" W (Google Maps). Researching these items, I found out that the local college once held these items at the Cook Arts Science and Technology Center at Navarro College. This website shows pictures of the field of items as they once were. The area is now a parking lot. Along the highway are two of these items: The ACRV from the Skylab era, andA mockup of space shuttle remote manipulator arm There appears to be no residence on this site. However, the County Road to the west is lined with houses.Space junk: It's out there.John CharlesWe drove through Corsicana, Texas, today, and I noticed that both the ACRV (a concept from Space Station Freedom days, not Skylab) and the RMS are still there near Interstate 45 northbound. There might have been a third artifact there but we flew past too fast to be sure.
