T O P I C R E V I E WspaceukI've noticed - especially at Endurance - that the blueberries are more concentrated between the 'rectangular flat -plate' rocks than on them.I began to wonder why this might be. It may be that any water flows carried the blueberries across the surface of Mars . As the flow washed across the plate rock (being smoother) the blueberries couldn't 'adhere' to them easily and consequently were washed into the rougher soil areas that exists between the plates. Hence a greater concentration ?High martian winds may also have played a role by 'blowing' the near spherical blueberries over the smoother plate rocks and into the rougher surrounding soil layers?Just a thought!spaceukI meant to add that some of this 'effect' may be due to the slopes of Endurance ogf course. But, I have noticed it in some of the images from both MER sites where the terrain is more level.
