T O P I C R E V I E WmikepfMy most prized space possessions are the memories of having in-person experiences with many astros and space figures that I admire so much. While recently talking about some of these events, I noted that at least 14 of them I can directly attribute to first learning about through the collectSPACE Sightings page. So I'd like to celebrate my breaking the 200th post mark by giving a big thank you to Robert and all who have contributed to Sightings. I'm sure many of you can top my 14. So how many Sightings sightings have you made? Regards,A grateful Mikie Delta7Deke SlaytonRobert ParkerGuion BlufordJohn BlahaJohn GrunsfeldDominic AntonellistsmithvaJust in the last year, I've shaken hands with Neil Armstrong and sat in the front row during a lecture by Bill Anders thanks to Sightings. There was also a screening of "The Wonder of it All" I learned about through CS. And on Sunday I'll be at an Ed Mitchell book signing. SteveDelta7Woops. I misunderstood the topic. Those are space people I've met/seen, not "sightings" sightings.golddogDue to the information available on sightings I was fortunate to meet Al Worden and Story Musgrave a 2nd time during our last visit to Florida. Both were very pleasant and Mr Musgrave was kind enough to present us with a signed book of photographs of Australia he had taken from orbit, when he found out where we came from. It was a great thrill to meet both and particularly an astronaut from the Apollo program who I had read so much about.
