T O P I C R E V I E WMark BJust been surfing the net for nothing in particular and came across this little news story from 2006. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/click_online/4977134.stm Not sure if it was posted on C/S.Had a bit of a chuckle to myself actually.Anyone know hat happened to this guy?1. Was he sent to prison, fined, warned?2. Story seems to have gone away fairly quickly3. Do you believe there is someone out there?4. Or is this guy just off his head chasing a little time in the limelight?Personally I think some of these stories are developed whilst blowing a joint or eating mushrooms.....but you never know I guess...:-))Hard physical evidence seems to be always missing.Food for thought if nothing else.....Cheers, M.footnote: Just found a late update on his case here: http://freegary.org.uk/ Still going on it seems with no result.....must be a brain drain for the guy to be waiting this long.......such is life when you do the wrong thing.Edited by Mark B on September 15, 2007 at 03:41 AM.stsmithva"Secretive parts of the secret government"? Dude, now that's SECRET.I did find it interesting that, apparently, after more than 20 years of computer use being a standard part of federal employees' jobs, some are still leaving their passwords on the default. Like "PASSWORD."However, two things in the interview were so weird as to be laughable. He said he was able to see the hidden NASA photograph of a UFO in Earth orbit only when he turned the "colour down to 4bit colour and the screen resolution really, really low, and even then the picture was still juddering as it came onto the screen." I think a photo of my grandma's Buick would look like Emperor Gvarg's Intergalactic Flagship under those conditions. Then there was this reason he didn't get save this photo onto his computer:SK: You were actually cut off the time you were downloading the picture?GM: Yes, I saw the guy's hand move across.Eh? Like a guy yanked the photograph out of the computer?SteveP.S. Here is his description of what he saw: "It was above the Earth's hemisphere. It kind of looked like a satellite. It was cigar-shaped and had geodesic domes above, below, to the left, the right and both ends of it, and although it was a low-resolution picture it was very close up.This thing was hanging in space, the earth's hemisphere visible below it, and no rivets, no seams, none of the stuff associated with normal man-made manufacturing."collocation quote:Originally posted by stsmithva:"Secretive parts of the secret government"?
