T O P I C R E V I E WRickDick Gordon is going to be NASCAR's special guest at the Busch Series and Winston Cup races at Phoenix International Raceway Nov. 1 and 2, and it's my job to see what kind of exposure we can get out of that ... especially since it was my idea to bring him there. He's going to be on "Totally NASCAR" and XM Radio, as well as possibly the MRN broadcast of the Busch Series event. My question is this: what space-related publications might be interested in a piece on Dick's interest in the sport?STEVE SMITHRick, always glad to see cross ties as you know.As we discussed, first popping to my mind would be Air and Space by Smithsonian, and possibly Florida Today Newspaper. What does the rest of the board think?Additionally, it occurred to me that some photos and even the Article(s) would probably be of interest to Robert for Sightings or "News"rjurek349Rick -- I would think the folks at space.com would be interested, as well as the editors of the science & space section at CNN.com. Good luck!Richalbatron@aol.comRick - as a tie in, most people are not aware that Dick also won the 1961 Bendix Trophy - a cross country air race trophy in an F-4. So there is precedence for him with racing as well.Cheers,Al
